Darlene Blount

Hi!  Although I'm here to teach English, I'm taught as well.  My wonderful students come from all over the world and share their cultures and experiences with me.  At IAE we're all learning new things.  My teaching experiences encompass many different areas, including ESL, Elementary and Middle School.

Cody Michaelis  

Cody is an accomplished teacher whose rich teaching experience makes him a great match for the IAE classroom.  Cody holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from the University of Arizona.  He speaks Japanese and has 3 years of teaching experience in Japan in both public and private English Language schools.  He creates a fun and productive classroom environment that helps develop students speaking and comprehension skills.  Cody enjoys working with the San Diego international student community.

Caley McFarland  

Caley has worked with IAE since September of 2008.  He is now the Head Teacher at the Fashion Valley campus. He was raised in the small town of Ramona in Northeast San Diego.  He studied Geography and Urban Studies at San Francisco State University where he received his Bachelor's degree.  He holds a TESOL professional certificate from UCSD and is certified in English Grammar Instruction. He has taught English in Argentina and Hungary, and is now very excited to meet and interact with students from all over the world. He is the greatest fantasy baseball player of all time and eats plenty of vegetables.
