Cancellation:
"Cancellation" refers to notification of IAE, in writing, that the student will no longer attend the school before starting classes. Application, FEDEX, Overseas and Accommodation fees are non-refundable. The tuition is fully refundable.
Withdrawal:
"Withdrawal" means leaving the course once it has begun. There is no refund for a one month period once the student takes the placement test or attends the first day of his/her monthly class. Promotional discounts are refunded pro-rata at the standard monthly pricing rate.
Refund Policy:
A student enrolls in an 8 week course and pays $700 tuition. The student withdraws after completing 3 weeks of classes and notifies IAE of the cancellation/withdrawal. The refund would be calculated as follows:
($87.50 X 4) = $350
(prorated weekly tuition) (4-weeks minimum) (amount of refund)
IAE does not participate in the Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF)
New Student Enrollment Payment Terms:
The Application Fee covers registration costs and pre-departure support. With confirmation of acceptance, the student will be invoiced for the initial payment, which is due within 15 days of receipt of this invoice. The initial payment includes the first month's tuition for students already residing in the US. No I-20 form will be issued without a full payment of the first month's tuition for students residing in the US. Students residing outside of the United States must pay the Overseas, Application, and Courier fees (these fees are non-refundable) in order to receive an I-20 form. Once a student visa (typically an F-1) is obtained, the first month's tuition fee and the accommodation fee (if applicable) must be paid immediately.
