IAE Mission Statement 

At the International Academy of English (IAE), our mission is to provide international students with English language instruction of the highest quality. IAE’s pedagogical approach gives our students the opportunity to develop a comprehensive set of English language proficiencies spanning areas such as reading,; writing, grammar, conversation, pronunciation and preparation for specialized testing. IAE’s stimulating and productive learning environment is well suited to preparing our students for continued success in their future personal, academic and professional pursuits. 

IAE is committed to combining excellence in instruction with sensitivity to the needs of non-native learners of English. We seek teachers and administrators with specific expertise and experience in second language acquisition. The professional development of our faculty, administration and staff is actively encouraged through association with professional organizations, peer-review, mentoring and other forms of collaboration. 

IAE’s curriculum reflects established principles of second language acquisition. All areas of the curriculum are subject to routine review and revision in order for the academy to remain responsive to the changing needs of our students, and to leverage the creative initiative of our faculty. IAE is dedicated to continually updating and enhancing our methods of instruction, from incorporating new technological capabilities to furthering an appreciation for American culture in all its diversity.We are continuously evaluating and improving our ESL program,  in-service enrichment opportunities, student English proficiency assessment methodologies  and English for Specialized Purposes curriculum development.
