John Tucker Chancellor and Chief Operating Officer
John Tucker has over 25 years of management experience in large complex teaching institutions, both in medical schools and higher education administration. He has worked in both patient care and medical administration at Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center in New York City, and at the City of Hope in Los Angeles. Most recently John worked in senior management positions for 16 years at three major University of California campuses, including UC San Francisco; UC Santa Barbara, where he served as Assistant Chancellor; and UCLA, where he served as Chief Administrative Officer for the Academic Senate, the governing body for over 3,000 tenured and non-tenured faculty. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Virginia Tech, and a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing and Finance from Pace University, New York City. Sarah Granby Academic Director
Sarah Granby is an experienced ESL teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience. She studied Economics at NorthwesternUniversity in Evanston, IL and spent the year after graduation in Spain teaching English. She has also worked for multiple non-profit organizations and at one time owned her own small business teaching English and Spanish at local companies in San Diego. She enjoys salsa dancing, traveling and corny jokes.
A Texas native, Joani Taylor serves as Site Director of the Las Vegas West Campus. In 2000, Joani began teaching English through Texas A&M University Language Institute while pursuing degrees in English and French. She later taught English in France while attending the Universite de Caen Basse-Normandie. Her passion for exploring the world and helping people achieve their language goals ultimately led her to IAE Las Vegas in September 2005. In her free time, Joani enjoys traveling, running, and catching up with her family in Texas.
As an Administrative Intern for IAE, Mitsue assists with financial reporting, marketing, and provides translation services. A native of Japan, Mitsue lived in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, for three years before arriving in Las Vegas.
In Ukraine, she obtained a Masters Degree in Education and worked as a private tutor as well as a translator and interpreter for marriage agencies. At IAE Las Vegas, Ella markets IAE overseas and offers administrative support and translation services for prospective international students.
